Challenge 

Novo Nordisk wanted to create a motivational internal AV that would truly resonate with employees. However, they didn’t want a generic corporate message like “work hard” or “do your best.” They were looking for something creative, engaging, and deeply impactful that employees could connect with on an emotional level.

Solution 

  • We conceptualized a unique 3D animated internal AV based on a Viking theme, paying homage to Novo Nordisk’s Danish heritage.

  • Vikings as a Symbol of Strength & Resilience: The leadership team, including HODs, Vice Presidents, and CEOs, were represented as Viking warriors and ship captains, leading their team through challenges.

  • “Islets of Langerhans” Viking Warship Concept: A 6-minute 3D animated film where Novo Nordisk’s management sailed a Viking warship, navigating treacherous waters filled with challenges symbolizing market competition (pirates), industry obstacles (high tides), and internal struggles (scarcity of resources like food and energy).

  • A Story of Perseverance & Teamwork: Just like real Viking sailors, the message focused on staying together, overcoming adversity, and striving toward their shared goal, mirroring the real-world challenges of the team.

Result 

  • A first-of-its-kind internal AV, making a lasting impact on employees.

  • Highly relatable and memorable, creating strong emotional engagement.

  • Employees loved the concept so much that they adopted it as the theme for their entire sales conference, extending its influence beyond the AV.

  • This project proved that corporate storytelling can be transformed into an immersive, inspiring, and action-driven experience when creativity meets strategy.
